More W-P Comments; January 2012

I thought it was tidal drag
Same reason Luna's day == Luna's year (Terra's Lunar month)
True, Potassium is not a "heavy element"... BUT - it is heavier than it might be. Also heavier than the elements that constitute the main mass of the universe. Unless of course, hmmm, there's all that "Missing Mass". Have to think about that a bit.
Were those numbers ($330Bn, $300Bn) Just for DC, or would that fix up most of the US? If so, we're talking about just ONE YEAR of warmanking expenditures. Doesn't seem like a lot of money. Considering that yes, as written, without water and sewer your community will have to be evacuated. Now that's gonna be an expensive thing!
Well, at least Gov. Romney LOOKS presidential. Unfortunately, he looks like the president of the Chamber of Commerce. Sounds like it too.
BUT!: Under no circumstances can we have a single-payer health care system. That would mean the creation of death squads, and destroy Medicare!
I truly do believe that, as Mr. Huntsman says, we are "on the cusp of a manufacturing renaissance". As China's sweatshop wages rise, and as our wages sink, those sweatshops will soon choose to relocate to the US. Heck, they've already started moving into Texas, where they can hire all the unskilled Texans they want. Products of the Texas educational system. AKA "No Child Left Behind".
Isn't "shrinking the government" a concept out of Das Kapital?
"Finally, when the communist state is achieved, the state will wither away" K. Marx (paraphrased, a bit)
It is a bit counter to any moral code; Be a vicious killer, but be civilized about it!
I do believe that Mitt Romney will end up with the nomination - by default.
He seems unable to inspire much emotion. Not, I beleve, because he is Mormon.
I suspect a lot of Republican primary voters find him insufficiently ignorant.
Sorry Richard. Money is not speech. Speech is speech. Money is used to buy bigger loudspeakers - to drown out the speech of the rest of us.
And it works so very, very well.
When turnstiles are a part of the nation's security infrastructure, we're all in serious trouble!
When even such a troglodyte as Geo Will asks for balance, perhaps his followers should take that to heart.
This new policy just means you have to tell the same lies across the different google sites you sign up for. No biggie.
Esp since in this fast evolving e-age there'll be a substitute for every one of these things coming along any minute. Only problem is - it's labor intensive to search out (hah!) these services and migrate to them.
Mr. Gingrich is a bit of a high wire act, isn't he? Working without a net, as he has been suggesting, would certainly make for riveting theater. However, since he surely knows that no media outlet would yield so much un-avertiser supported time, what is really going on is that he has positioned himself to complain (still more!) about the evil liberal elite media.
Of Fox News. Whichever draws his ire at the moment.
I personally find NONE of the candidates persuasive. GOP or DEM.
My current plan is to write in the name of Sen. Barack Obama.
As opposed to the G. W. Bush dopplegagner currently in the office - you know, the faux Lib who continuously asks himself "What Would Cheney Do?". Then acts on that.
How does Mr. Gingrich plan to deal with issues of immigration on the moon?
Will we all be issued green cards?
